Welcome to our new customers and hello again to our old friends.
In this issue of our newsletter you will find some great sales and deals, new products, service announcements, and as always, some interesting info. Enjoy, and please always feel free to let us know how we are doing. You are our report card.
The Great End-of-Summer Markdown Has Peaked!
Hopefully you've been visiting the store and have already noticed. But if not, come on and take advantage of us! We worked late into the night on Tuesday, slashing prices up to 70% or more on summer styles (including plus sizes)!
We have so much merchandise marked down we’ve added a Clearance Department to showcase our juiciest deals. With these prices, and the free shipping coupon below, you’ll be robbing us blind! (and we’ll invite you in to do it with a smile on our faces and say thank you when you're done :-P )
Just like a brick-and-mortar store, we've got to move the merchandise to make room for our huge fall selection (coming at the end of this month!). But, most everything we have is extremely limited in size choice, and we are selling out fast.
So don't go waiting around 'til the last minute hoping for that 90% markdown on that piece you've been waiting all summer to buy. You would definitely miss out on the most fabulous wardrobe you've ever owned, pregnant or not!
Most of our pieces layer well for fall, and many of spring's colors will carry you right through winter quite well this year. Pick up an August issue of Elle or Glamour for tips on how to stretch your summer wardrobe for months to come. We’ll be adding some of these tips to our blog in the next few weeks (see below).

As usual we are rapidly acquiring new maternity clothing designers and new styles. Our newest designer maternity clothes come from Preggers 'N' Proud. Their maternity shirts are just what you need in that 3rd to 4th month, when it looks like you've just been pounding the cookies a little too hard and you want to shout to the world "I'm pregnant, for goodness sake!" These sweet and sassy maternity shirts take the words right out of your mouth. And they continue to speak well for you the entire 9 months, too. We’ll be adding them this week.
In nursing clothing, this month we have new nursing PJs from celebrity designer Angela Chew. We’ll also be adding some nursing wear from a new designer on the scene, Larrivo. They have fabulous camis and loungewear. Is it a dress or a nightgown? You decide!

Another new addition to the site is our blog! As promised, it is really taking off!
I'll be adding announcements pertaining to the site (sales or planned outages, for instance), news related to pregnancy or breastfeeding (and various other topics that interest me), and Celebrity Gossip pertaining to the subject at hand, ie. who's pregnant in tinsletown, what they're naming the baby, and most importantly - Who have they been wearing!
Changes to Our Return Policy
Here is a perfect case of a few bad apples ruining the whole bunch. I started this company with pie-in-the-sky ideals of being everything to every customer; of doing things the way I’d like them done to me. We had the most lenient return policy on the web or in stores, and we bent over backwards to make the customer extremely happy in the return process. In exchange for our generosity we were greatly taken advantage of, and frankly, we nearly lost our shirts.
So, we’ve realized why other stores aren’t so lenient and have regrettably been forced to follow suit. Some things have become exchange only, and our return timeline has shrunk. And, beginning September 1, the return process will be slightly more complicated and return shipping will no longer be free. If you are concerned by these changes, please read the return policy before placing an order to check for any further changes as we grow, learn, and mature. And rest assured, we will never remove "exceding expectations in customer service" from the top of our priority list.

Good news. Research says you can have your cake and eat it, too. As long as that cake is chocolate. For centuries, chocolate has been used to treat diseases and maladies such as depression. Civilizations from Mexico to Europe have hailed chocolate as an aphrodisiac. The U.S. government officially recognized its virtues in World War II, making the chocolate candy bar standard issue for the military.
Chocolate's scientific name, theobroma cacao, is literally translated as "food of the gods," and we chocolate cravers don't need any studies to tell us the power of chocolate in mood alteration. Its feel good chemicals have long been associated with feelings of love, safety, and comfort. Maybe that's why Americans eat an average of 12 pounds of chocolate per year.
Chocolate contains vitamins A, B1, C, D, and E, as well as potassium, sodium, iron, and fluorine. Now, researchers say those creamy chocolate confections may actually help us live longer, too.
