The Faerie Tale Baby Blanket

Long before humans roamed the world there lived a band of creatures called Faeries. These tiny creatures were so full of energy that they took to caring for the animals that inhabited the planet with them. When humans came along they took to caring for them as well.

At a very young age it was decided what role a faerie would play in the world - some were assigned as tooth faeries collecting the teeth of little humans and leaving behind money, others were made faerie god mothers going to the rescue of a human when they were summoned. Other faeries were assigned duties of mischief like hiding keys and eye glasses. Still other faeries were taught to influence the moods and behaviors of the humans that they loved so well.

In this spirit, the faierie tale baby blanket was born. Created of gorgeous brocade and backed with angora-soft faux fur, these blankets will be a beloved lovey, a wonderful place to which to retreat, and a cherished heirloom. Each Baby Blanket is 30"x40" with 2" brocade border.

Maxwell

The Faerie of Second Chances

Once upon a time there lived a young faerie named Maxwell. One day he and his faerie parents and two older faerie brothers went to a faerie festival by the pond in the faerie forest. The older faerie kids were flitting and flying over the faerie pond skimming the surface with their feet. Little Maxwell could not fly yet and he contented himself to walk around the edge of the pond collecting sticks and dried berries.

His parents were very nervous about his older brothers who were playing the daring faerie game over the pond. The mother faerie was very nervous and decided to join her two older boys over the water where she could keep a closer watch on them. She reminded the faerie father to keep an eye on young Maxwell.

The next thing the faerie dad knew he saw his young faerie boy being dragged from the water, his wings limp and lifeless. The faerie mother saw this, too and gathered up her two other faerie boys to the safety of the shore.

All seemed hopeless for young Maxwell when through the forest there arrived two curious elves. They went immediately to work on the young faerie boy. The father stood in shock and dread realizing that it was his fault that the faerie boy had drowned. The mother lay shrieking on the ground certain that her boy was dead.

Just when all hope was lost the young faerie sputtered and coughed – he was alive. This was the day he became the faerie of second chances a reminded to all that everyone deserves a second chance.
