Who We Are and What We Do

To expand on the section you just read... Truthfully, we're a very small business. This is how we are able to make special offers to our subscribers on a regular basis, how we are able to personally respond to every email and phone call, and how we are able to screw up just about anything that can be screwed up!  

Seriously, we do make mistakes. We're just 2 humans, doing a job that should be spread between about 20. We make mistakes, and we apologize for them, and we try to make amends. Please don't think we're perfect, but do believe that we stand behind our products and our service, we care about you and your order, and we will do whatever we can to "make your stay a pleasant one."  Thanks for understanding and for shopping with us.

Returns & Exchanges

The following return policy is effective on all orders placed on or after May 5th, 2008.

Returns are accepted according to our policy below within 30 days from the date of sale in brand new resalable condition (dirt, odors, stains or other signs of wear are unacceptable). No exceptions are allowed to the following.

All items are non-refundable. Store credit only will be issued within one week of receipt for all returns*.

Exchanges:

Because our inventory is changing rapidly, should you have an exchange request we ask that you simply return your item, then place a new order for the desired item once you have received your store credit code.

Returning your items:

You no longer need an RMA! Simply email us with the below information (no phone calls accepted for return info) and write your order number on the outside of your package.

*If the return is due to a grievous error on our part, or the item is out of stock when ordered, a refund will be issued. Otherwise no exceptions will be made.

**All eveningwear/bridal wear is available to exchange for size only, no refund or store credit offered. Please refer to the product description to determine the items to which this policy applies.

***If your return does not follow our policy (returned after 30 days, etc) you will be subject to a restocking fee to be determined at the time of return (typically 20% of the order total), and may be refused at our discretion. If free shipping or other discounts and promotions were applied to your order, those amounts will be subtracted from your store credit amount.

 
Shipping  

Eva Lillian ships with a combination of United States Postal Service, UPS or Fed Ex. The choice you make at checkout may not be available at the shipping location, in which case a comparable service will be used at a comparable cost. Please note any special shipping restrictions which may be posted on the individual products.

Free Shipping promotions apply to USPS Priority Mail or the least expensive option of our choice. All other shipping charges are the responsibility of the customer and are not refundable. It is our goal to ship all orders within 24-72 business hours. However, this is not explicitly or implicitly guaranteed, as things do happen, and you should plan accordingly to receive your shipment in time for a special event.

Log in to your account to check the status of your order and to track shipping on UPS or Fed Ex shipments. We are sorry, but we can not be responsible for the shipment once it leaves our office, so we recommend you choose a trackable and insurable shipping method.

   
International Shipping  

We do not ship to Africa

 

Fed Ex is now the only shipping carrier option at checkout. Fed Ex does charge "Brokerage Fees" for moving your package through customs. In addition, your country may asses a customs fee (aka tariff) on imported goods at a percentage of the retail value (varies by country from and to). We have no control over these fees, cannot estimate them, and are not responsible for them. These fees are not collected at checkout and are the responsibility of the customer.  The customer pays them directly to the collecting agency (shipping company or government office) at the time of delivery.

 

While USPS shipping is not an option at checkout, whenever possible, we will ship via a USPS shipping option of comparable delivery time, service and pricing, without notice, in order to save our customers brokerage fees.  The USPS does not charge brokerage fees.

 

In addition, "Free Shipping" promotions apply to domestic orders only. You may be offered the Free Shipping choice at checkout, however if you choose it we will contact you after you place your order with actual shipping charges for your authorization, then bill them to the card you used to place your order.

 

Billing

 

We must be able to verify your billing information. If we are not able to verify with your credit card issuer, we require you to fax or mail the following information before we will ship your order:

 

  • Copy of photo id with billing party's signature

  • Copy of the front and back of the credit card used to place the order. On the same sheet the billing party must place written authorization for all charges and sign. (ie, I [name] hereby authorize Eva Lillian Maternity to charge [amount] to the credit card shown here, signed [signature])

The billing and shipping name and address must be identical, and the recipient must sign for the package.

 

We are liable for all fraudulent charges and simply wish to protect ourselves. Thank you for your understanding.

Do you have a catalog?

When will I be charged for my order?  

As a general rule, if your item is available you will be charged immediately, and if your item is on backorder you will be charged at the time of shipment. However, our payment processing is done automatically by our system and there are a variety of reasons that it may not apply this general rule. You may be charged immediately and have a delay in your shipment. We do not explicitly state nor imply that you will not be charged until your item ships. If you feel you were charged incorrectly, please contact us and we will resolve any issues as soon as possible.

Environmental Policy
We at Eva Lillian are committed to doing all we can to preserve our environment. Our lives and our homes are deeply effected by what we bring into them, as well as what we discard. Because of this belief we use recycled and/or biodegradable materials whenever possible. For instance, our shipping fill is biodegradable vegetable fiber and the boxes, tape and tissue paper are made from recycled materials and vegetable-based adhesives. Natural living (with style, of course) is very important to us.

La Leche League is an international resource for breastfeeding women. Founded in 1956 by seven women who had learned about successful breastfeeding while nursing their own babies, La Leche League is the only organization with the sole purpose of helping breastfeeding mothers. They are not the “Hippie Nipple Nazis” many people have rumored them to be. They are warm and wonderful mothers, volunteering to help others from the goodness of their hearts and their belief that breastfeeding is the most precious gift you can ever give your child.

Lack of support and knowledgeable information is often the largest contributor to breastfeeding failure. We understand the monumental importance of breastfeeding our children, and so fully support this organization and all the good work it does. Find a group in your area.

Feed The Children's Abandoned Baby Center

After we witnessed a recent Oprah program about the Aids epidemic in Africa; how witch doctors spread the myth that intercourse with a virgin will rid a man of AIDS, and how a virgin over the age of 2 is hard to find, causing men to steal babies (or buy them from parents who have no other option), rape them, and leave them for dead, we sat weeping in stunned silence.  We wanted to vomit and then immediately visited this site and began contributing to save one child.  The following is information on this wonderful program.

The Abandoned Baby Center began as a response to a horrific problem: Every day a baby is orphaned or abandoned in Kenya, their parents lost to epidemics, violence and poverty.

When a baby is brought to the Abandoned Baby Center, it is usually his or her last chance for life. Many babies come to the Abandoned Baby Center (ABC) as orphans, their parents dead or dying from the AIDS epidemic that is killing 700 people a day in Kenya. Most come with infections, worms, malnutrition, and severe medical conditions. Many of the babies are brought to them barely alive. These abandoned children come with nothing; no names, not even birthdays. But at the ABC they're given new life and real hope for a brighter future!

The ABC is an innovative five-acre facility, on the outskirts of Nairobi, Kenya. It has a medical center, playrooms and care cottages where babies recover, grow and thrive. Staffed with medical and child-development professionals, the ABC is equipped to help meet the special needs of these babies, beginning with nourishing food, critical medical care and a loving home!

The Heifer Project

Yet again we thank Oprah for opening our eyes to a wonderful program. Founded on the principle of "teach a man to fish..." this wonderful program is changing the face of our world. The fact that one animal can change the lives of an entire village, while we waste enough in our city in a day to feed that village for a year and more, made us sick. We contribute year round, and have persuaded others to do so for Christmas gifts.

Heifer does much more than put food in the mouths of hungry people. Heifer helps hungry people feed themselves.


Here’s how it works:


A typical Heifer project consists of three essential components:

  • Livestock and other material goods

  • Training and extension work

  • Organizational development, which includes planning, management, record keeping, passing on the gift, reporting and evaluation.
